Tell me what went wrong
A cutter that would not cut, a stamp whose letters filled in, a setting that has moved in the latest slicer. All of it is useful, and the annoyed reports are the most useful of the lot.
Before you write
Two things that fix most reports faster than I can:
- If a cutter crushed the dough rather than cutting it, chill the dough for half an hour and try again. It is the most common cause and it is not the cutter.
- If the fine detail vanished, check whether the tool warned you about the thinnest line. It reports the measured width in millimetres and the size that would fix it.
Both are covered properly in when a cutter will not cut. If neither is it, I want to hear about it.
